Kris Nations was started by two sisters who grew up in the Southwest playing with beads, rocks and metal. They design jewelry that’s part Bohemian, part modernism, part in-your-face statement. They slowly grew out of their San Francisco loft and now are a full blown operation of killer women in Half Moon Bay, Calif. All earrings, rings, studs, and charms are cast in recycled sterling silver and gold is 18k gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may). Vermeil is a process of plating at least 2.5 microns of gold over solid sterling silver. Their chains are all recycled sterling silver or gold filled.
